The WIC announced earlier today the winners of the 2012 lottery to enter the Ford Ironman World Championships. Whether you agree or disagree with the methods of choosing the winners, the important thing to note is this: I wasn’t one of them. Congratulations to those who did get picked!

So what do you do when that happens? Why, join the HITS Triathlon Championships in Palm Springs, CA, of course! It’s the same 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run of the Ironman, half the cost, and I can drive to the event. Actually, I think I’m excited not to win!
